Training

Dandelion Farm has two full-time trainers on staff that support our Full-Training program. During a typical week, depending on the needs of the horse and the rider, horses will have a combination of professional rides, private and/or group lessons.

Training is supported by three full-time professional grooms that manage daily turnout, lunge horses for fitness and safety, and attend to any veterinary needs including icing, wrapping, and farrier management.

Mia Forbes: Head Trainer

Mia Forbes is the Head Trainer at Dandelion Farm.  Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, Mia has ridden all kinds of horses since she was a young girl.  Mia has trained and competed all over the United States.  Her experience enables her to get on really any horse and make it look like she has ridden it her whole life.  One of the nicest people you will ever meet, Mia has quickly become a barn favorite with the kids, teenagers, and adults.
